Comments:

I am 67 and pretty well out of shape. Bought this bike from our local bike shop after much consideration. I intend using the bike on a daily basis and slowly building up my stamina so's I can pedal down to our local village which is an approximate 12 km. trip. All this in preparation for a cross-country trip on my 70th birthday! Wishful thinking perhaps? Anyways, I love the way this bike handles and the gears are a cinch to use. Also, feel much more secure at faster speeds with the wider set of wheels, very responsive brakes and easy handling. A pleasure to ride.

    Comments:

I am 63 years old, retired, and out of shape. I loved to bike as a youngster. I have occasionally biked as an adult. I needed to start taking care of myself. I have no excuse for not doing so but myself. I looked into exercise machinery, but decided it was not for me. I have had them before and they became coat racks. I like to be outdoors. I started looking at purchasing a bike. I purchased the Trek Shift 2 after researching various bikes on the Internet. Yes, I could have bought a cheaper bike at the big box stores, but there is no comparison. The technology in bicycles today have long surpassed the days of my youth. It is mind boggling the choices you have. I am so happy that I took the time to stop by the local bike shop and get there advice. There expertise is invaluable. Good bikes are not cheap, but "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR."
